Formed in 1995, NH international (Caribbean) Limited was the fruit of the union of two independently successful companies, NH international Limited and Emile Elias and Company Limited (founded in 1965), that had strategically aligned and operated as a joint venture between 1992 and 1995, as a result of a management buyout of NH international Limited (NHI) from the major British contractor, Norwest Holst international Limited. The goal of this union was to offer integrated construction expertise throughout the Caribbean.

One of these companies, Emile Elias and Company Limited, outclassed and surpassed its competitors, becoming the leading construction company in Trinidad and Tobago. Through acquisitions it diversified into specialist construction services, such as piling, foundations, and roof waterproofing and fire protection (via its subsidiary Weathershield Systems Caribbean Limited). The acquisitions allowed the Company to expand its construction services and complete projects to a higher specification.

NH/EE and NHIC have successfully completed major projects in more than 12 Caribbean countries including Trinidad and Tobago. We design, develop, finance, manage, engineer and build projects. Over US$600 million of construction services have been provided to private developers, as well as the Governments of Anguilla, the Bahamas, Barbados, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica, Montserrat, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent, and Trinidad and Tobago. We have consistently prepared for and exceeded our client’s expectations.
